The AJ&K Legislative Assembly Act established the AJ&K IT Board in 2001. Under the umbrella activity Infrastructure Setup for Master Implementation Plan MIP, the IT Board is tasked with regulating, consulting, and supervising all IT initiatives at AJ&K. The three primary goals of MIP are to encourage and promote IT services at AJ&K: Software development, e-Government, and widespread IT literacy.

 

The development of information technology presents Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJ&K) with an opportunity to overcome its past limitations and assume control of its destiny.
